With the opening of the new NDC3 data center location in Vienna Donaustadt, Nessus is systematically expanding its infrastructure. The new location complements the existing data centers in Vienna-Favoriten and now offers another powerful, highly available, and sustainably operated solution for companies that demand the highest standards of security, stability, and future viability.
A strong third location for even more redundancy and flexibility
With the launch of NDC3, Nessus is expanding its data center space to over 4,000 m² and enabling optimal geo-redundancy within Vienna. All three locations are interconnected via a path-redundant fiber ring.
Customers benefit from a flexible and scalable IT infrastructure for all requirements, from single racks and private cages to individually tailored housing solutions – including direct connections to national and international carriers.
Certified secure, thoughtfully built
The data center was built in accordance with the European data center standard EN 50600, additionally certified by TÜV as “Trusted Site Infrastructure – Level 3” – and, like our two existing data centers, certified to ISO 27001. The location thus meets the highest requirements for physical security, energy efficiency and redundancy.
The entire technical infrastructure – from the power supply and air conditioning to the network infrastructure – is designed for maximum availability. This includes, among other things:
- full redundancy – including air conditioning, power supply and fiber connectivity
- rotary UPS systems for uninterrupted operation
- five diesel generators with extensive fuel reserves
- IP-based building control and a continuous busbar system
- modern early fire detection, gas extinguishing and leak detection systems
- staffed around the clock with security personnel, video surveillance and a single-person access control system
The package is completed by Nessus’ first-class service quality and speed of response.
Green IT: energy-efficient and future-proof
As a green data center, NDC3 is ecologically optimized. The entire air conditioning is based on the principle of cold aisle containment in order to consistently separate warm and cold air and to optimize the location’s energy balance.
In addition, adiabatic cooling is used – an innovative system that uses the effect of evaporation for energy-efficient cooling.
By using efficient technologies and offering the option of using renewable energy sources, Nessus continues to set the highest standards in sustainability on the Austrian data center market.
Ready for your requirements – today and tomorrow
With NDC3, we not only offer additional space, but a consistently further developed infrastructure focused on stability, efficiency and future-proofing.
Whether you want to expand existing systems, safeguard critical processes or reliably operate new, compute-intensive services and technologies – our new data center is ready.
We look forward to finding the right solution together with you.
